COOKIE DUST (2016) is a crime drama documentary short which Riley directed, produced and co-edited. A passion project which Riley extensively research and investigated, the film tells the story of Bryan Cook, a former Armed Robbery Squad detective who became a lawyer. The complete transformation of a fast and loose cop who turned into a strict and 'by the book' legal officer was something that Riley found fascinating. Bryan's police career was meet with interesting and notorious figures, such as Mark "Chopper" Read, Alphonse Gangitano, Jason Moran and many more, with his legal career taking on the huge ADFA Skype Sex Scandal. The film delves into the morality of Bryan's actions, his disassociation from the events he saw and his change in beliefs.
